office and Litigation Support Experience
MaryAnn
has seventeen years experience in a law office. This includes providing
administrative support, performing legal and other research through QuickLaw and various specialized internet resources, and managing the ERYOU Barristers
law library – ordering legal material and maintaining the collection with
InMagic. Ms. Swerdlyk is also a litigation assistant. She attends at court
for filing documents, researches at the Thunder Bay Law Library, compiles
books of authorities and compendiums for matters before the Superior Court
of Justice, Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. These
past three years, MaryAnn has drafted affidavit of documents to completion,
reviewed discovery transcripts and drafted undertakings lists, composed
letters to clients as well as plaintiff counsel regarding undertakings.
